Not something you really want to find in the washing up bowl!

Milly M in Sommerton Deep Lock

I wonder if Oxford Cruisers are members of the APCO?
Do BW know this is happening in season?
Are they bothered?
New gates at Pigeons Lock but still the old winding gear. Tut tut BW!
An interesting sign at Pigeons Lock
I kinda think BW got the measurements wrong here at Baker's Lock.

This last picture is far too typical of what we've seen down on the K&A. New gates made in the workshop without reference to the lock in question. So a gate won't open completely because the gate paddle gear doesn't line up with the hole in the lock wall, or the gate opens against the ground paddle gear, so won't quite open completely.
Then there are the gate walkways (or whatever they are called - as in the picture above) with the final "rung" missing - the most crucial one that is needed to get the gate moving. Instead of which there's a muddy puddle. Know what I mean? It would be worth users reporting things like this to BW, but they'd only say "we know, but we can't afford to do anything about it" :-(
And then they have the nerve to have 4 pages in Towpath Talk saying the canals have never been so good!
Double Doh!
